Potamaki beach
It is a lengthy beach (2.2 km) with options for sea sports and beach bars serving coffee, beverages and food.
Due to the big length of the beach, you can choose between a private and quiet spot and a more crowded spot with music, loungers and coffee/drink services.
Potamaki beach is in a walking distance from our villas (250m).

Vathiavali
The most famous and popular beach of the area is Vathiavali, which can be reached by car or boat. A beach bar there serves food and beverages. In the 9km route from Ionian Sea Villas to Vathiavali, you can enjoy the green scenery before encountering the full-of-sailing-boats panoramic view of this beach.

Agios Ioannis
A small beach under an old picturesque white church, named Agios Ioannis.
It offers an amazing view to all small islands of the gulf between Paleros and Lefkada. Swimming in this beach is a highly recommended experience.

Al Vento Beach Bar and Café
A very nice beach with a well-known beach bar. You can enjoy the swimming and relax with a drink or coffee.

Paliourgias beach
A very nice beach with a well-known beach bar that serves traditional Greek snacks, food and beverages. You can sit under the olive trees and enjoy the sea and the food.

Varko
A unique and quiet beach located in the gulf nearby Vathiavali beach.

Numerous small gulfs with small beaches
Nearby Paleros there is a big number of small gulfs and pure beaches where visitors can enjoy swimming and relax. It can be a rewarding experience to explore the coast in order to find a small and quiet beach fitting your taste and spend hours there “recharging yourself” having the sense of freedom.
Rent boats and Boat trips
The gulf between Paleros and Lefkada is a sheltered area with various small islands. Renting a boat and island hopping in the area can be an amazing activity. That way you can enjoy isolated beaches and amazing waters.
Some of the recommended islands that are easily accessible with a rented boat are the following:
- Meganisi, a cosmopolitan island with various restaurants and cafes
- Skoprios, a private island close by which you can sail but without being able to disembark
- Madouri
- Sparti
- Kalamos
- Kastos
- Atokos
- Arkoudi
Tennis
Paleros has tennis courts that you can book and use. Motivated trainers are available on demand to help you improve your skills in this sport.
Scuba diving
The seabed of the Paleros gulf is breathtaking. You can dive in areas with special seagrass, fish, mollusc and local reefs. Both in Paleros as well as in Lefkada there are experienced diving trainers who organize diving sessions and courses.
Daily road trips
Ionian Sea Villas can be a great base for various daily road trips to close by destinations that are really worth to visit. Some recommended day trips are provided below.
- West coast of Lefkada
The western coast of Lefkada hosts the famous beaches of Kathisma, Egkremni and Porto Katsiki. The deep blue water combined with the green mountains is an eyebath. In the area, there are also various well-known restaurants, some near the sea, while others in high altitude with amazing views.
The western part of Lefkada (Kathisma) is a 46km distance from our villas. - The small islands of Kalamos – Kastos
The small islands of Kalamos and Kastos are in the close vicinity. Both islands maintain their original character and are inhabited by only a few permanent residents. The islands have a unique scenery with forests blending with the sea. The green blue water of the islands with the sense of purity makes these islands unique.
It is highly recommended to arrange a day trip to Kalamos and Kastos. The islands are easily accessible via the Myticas Port (18 km from Paleros). - Preveza and Epirus coasts
You can start your day with a coffee and shopping in the city of Preveza.
Preveza has nice restaurants, cafes and bars and is located 35km distance from Paleros.
There are various famous beaches northern of Preveza such as Kanali, Vrachos and definitely the highly recommended Lichnos beach.
You can end up this day trip at Parga, a lovely town with a castle and various cafes and restaurants.
An alternative in the same area is a visit to the Acherontas river, where you can enjoy various activities such as trekking, horse riding, rafting or canoe kayak.
